A couple days ago dropped a foot of snow on the ground which is quickly melting in the rain.

Lake Superior Freighter Canoe Trip

I just got back from a short trip down the coast of Lake Superior in a Freighter Canoe powered by a 6 hp motor.  It was handy motoring along but the lack of body action by paddling meant a chilly canoe ride this time of year with snow flurries and frosty mornings.  We kept warm with a wood stove in our tent and explored the bush along the shoreline watching the full moon rise and mist rising from a warm lake on the chilly mornings.

End of Rain

Lots of Rain all day and the sky opened up just as the sun dropped behind the clouds on the horizon.
Looks like snow clouds on the way.

Full Moon Sunset

The Moon rose blazing orange and hid behind clouds before the eclipse. Opposite the moon a spectacular sunset over the Bay of Quinte was still in progress.
