 The ice floes on Old Woman Beach are slowly melting in the March sun while the Old Woman River is still a trickle waiting for the snow in the bush to melt.

The waterfall around the corner started flowing again in anticipation of spring flooding.

I found a hidden little lake with big speckled trout under the ice.

Snow Covered Driftwood Beach

There was a thin film of ice on Michipicoten Bay this morning with a biting west wind across the lake towards the beach.  The snow is 2 feet thick on the beach with no sign of melting yet.

The Lake Trout are still coming out of holes in the ice.

March Snow

The Herring Gulls have returned back to the Lake to stake out their nesting sites on the islands but I think they may be a bit early as it has been snowing non stop the last couple days.
